[Divorce and property division in “twilight divorce” case] 30 million won in alimony and 50% property division by way of divorce mediation

1. Background
Client, who had been married for about 35 years, constantly wanted a divorce due to her spouse's guilt (infidelity, financial problems, etc.), but could not make up her mind easily, so decided to approach KORUS LAW.

2. Our Value
Through in-depth consultation with the client, we were able to collect objective grounds corresponding to the at-fault spouse’s guilt and petitioned for property division and alimony to the extent the client could claim for.

3. Significance
During divorce mediation, we were able to persuade the at-fault spouse and to achieve a 50/50 property division and the maximum amount of alimony the client desired, and succeeded in settlement within the divorce mediation. Accordingly, we could avoid commencement of litigation process which could have aggravated both sides’ burden and resolve the divorce process quickly.
